Privacy policy

This policy explains what Crypto Policy Monitor collects from readers and waitlist signups, who is responsible for it, and how to exercise your rights.

What this site collects

The site itself collects nothing. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts, which is why there is no cookie banner. Fonts are served by Bunny Fonts, a privacy-first CDN that itself sets no cookies.

If you join the waitlist

The only personal data we ever receive is the email address you choose to send us to join the waitlist. It is stored in an access-restricted database hosted by Supabase Inc. and sent to you via Resend, our email delivery provider, each acting as our processor; we use it to send you the Monitor and for nothing else, and we do not sell, rent or share it with anyone, including our other publications. Both providers are US-based, so joining the waitlist means your address is processed outside Kenya and outside most readers' home jurisdictions; we rely on each provider's own contractual data-protection commitments as the safeguard for that transfer. Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@lawlab.africa. If you are in Kenya, the Data Protection Act 2019 applies to our processing of your personal data, and you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke) if you are not satisfied with our response. Readers elsewhere have the rights their own local law provides, and we honour deletion and access requests regardless of where a request comes from.
